Learning should be fun!

Little Lexington Academy opened at the South Elkhorn location in 2017. Since opening we have endeavored to provide consistent effective care, education, and a thriving environment to each of the children at our facility. Our facility is presently licensed for 100 Children. We maintain an exciting indoor gross motor play area that provides the safest opportunity for the children to release some energy. We also include all diapers, wipes, meals and snacks as part of the base tuition. We look forward to speaking with you about your child or children.

EXPERIENCED ADMINISTRATORS

We have maintained the same administrators for more than 4 years which has allowed to maintain specific goals and progress toward continued improvement. 

EXCITING ACTIVITIES

All of the classes routinely participate in planned activities such as holiday events, visits from local fire and police and other special guests.  

FUN MEALS

We maintain a varied assortment of foods prepared on site each day and included in the tuition. 

INDOOR GROSS MOTOR

We maintain an indoor gross motor play area with routine changes to the available swings, slides and playsets. This arrangement allows the kids to play in a safe stimulating environmentally controlled space.

Heather has acted as administrator of the facility since the facility opened in 2017.

Our Classes

Infant

Our youngest class where two teachers with the assistance of floating staff care for up to 10 infants. All of the wipes and diapers are included in tuition.

  • 6 months – 12 months

  • 10 Children and 2 Teachers

Toddler

This classroom is for children who are beginning to be mobile and makes use of their own play area for development.

  • 12 months – 24 months

  • 12 Children and 2 Teachers

Chrysalis

Butterfly

This classroom is for toddlers who are not yet potty trained and focuses on manners, following directions and listening.

  • 2-3 year olds

Preschool

This classroom focuses on children developing skills relating to following directions, communicating with peers, and following rules.

  • 3 year olds

PreKindergarten

This classroom is for children who are starting to get prepared for Kindergarten and begins covering some of our Kindergarten level curriculum.

  • 4-5 year olds

  • 14 Children

Kindergarten Prep

This room is focused primarily on those children expecting to move into Kindergarten within the next year.

  • 5-6 year olds
